I just wanted to say that I am typically not the type to go out & blog, a little introverted, but then again I am not sure how many people will actually be interested in, see or read this historical (2007) blog about web hosting - probably no one.

For me it is just some way to pass some quiet time & reflect on website hosting and some of the changes we have seen.

I am not crazy am I?

I have decided to revisit the web hosting industry in 2007

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Alright I am not sure if it is because of boredom or my interest in history that is the reason that I have decided to go back through all of my past notes for 2007 in the web hosting industry and to try to put together the pieces which helped us understand where the web hosting companies were taking this industry in 2007.

Website Hosting, for all of those who may have landed here accidentally is a service which allows you to put up web site file pages on the internet and have those pages viewed from anyone with internet access. That is rather a simplified explanation for the service as there are many aspects of web hosting including the different types of web hosting service options available including email, chat, voip, different script capabilities, database capabilities, as well as what types of web site file building options.

Bestwebhosting2007.com was an idea which brought together a number of dedicated and part time web masters to examine the web hosting services available and test those services and make judgments and criticisms on those services. The reviews and ratings were brought together to try to fine out who offered the best web hosting service on the internet.

Now I am going to try to go back through our notes, reviews, press releases, interviews and look at what happened in web hosting in 2007 and what were some of the more remarkable events that helped to shape web hosting in 2007.

I hope the reading won’t be too boring.
